Donaghue Nursing Scholarship

This fund was established in memory of Virginia Belle Smith Donaghue by her brother Thomas E. Smith; sister Ruth Smith Frye; Halena Hart Williams Smith, widow of her brother Mayo; and Virginia Counts Smith, widow of brother Kenley (Pete). Income from the fund will be used to finance scholarships for Raleigh Co. students who are pursuing a nursing career.

• One or more scholarships for Raleigh Co. high schools graduates who have achieved a satisfactory academic record and are pursuing a nursing career.
• Financial need shall be considered in selection

Renewable: Yes; must re-apply annually.
