Wyoming County students benefit from income earned by this endowment established by Joseph C. Phillips to honor his father. Claude Phillips was a teacher, a principal of Wyoming County Vocational Technical Center, a member of the Wyoming County Board of Education, and a coal operator. Formerly designated for use at MSU, it is now redirected to University of Charleston-Beckley

• Available to need based qualified college freshmen or upperclassmen.
