Established in 2016 as a tangible memorial to Jodie Reid, a 1996 ACU Nursing Graduate and Centaur Medalist, who died in 2004, aged 27, after suffering from Diabetes mellitus for 25 years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria, by the scholarship application close date:

  • Commencing ACU course in Semester 1, 2023 or prior
  • Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students (Confirmation of Aboriginality will be required)
  • Faculty: Health Sciences
  • Course: enrolled in one of the following courses:
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Paramedicine
  • Campus: Brisbane
  • Participation, or intention to participate in a professional or personal activity in a rural or remote-based community (for example, through community engagement or a professional placement). -Financial hardship
  • Currently live in, or have relocated from, a regional, rural or remote area of Queensland.
