About this scholarship
This is an endowed scholarship established in 2006 by the Sisters of Mercy in Queensland to honour Sister Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, and in recognition of the predecessor college McAuley College.

- The scholarship is valued at up to $10,000, to be paid in instalments of $2,500 per year.

Eligibility This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria, by the scholarship application close date:
- Citizenship: domestic
- Faculty: Health Sciences, Education and Arts or Law and Business
- Course: any ACU undergraduate degree
- Campus: Brisbane
- Leadership and/or community engagement
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
- Written statement
- Community service
- Letter of recommendation
Preference will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, those with social and economic disadvantages, and students from regional, rural and remote areas as classified by the Rural, Remote and Metropolitan Area (RRMA).
Selection process Applicants will be shortlisted by the Scholarships Office and a recipient selected by the donor.
