The Morey Learning Potential Fund Scholarship was established by Sue Boyce in 2018 to honour and assist Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal women attaining an education at QUT and to honour the family legacy of the late Alfred E. Morey.

This is a scholarship valued at $5,000 for up to one year, paid $2,500 per semester.

Study level: Undergraduate

Study Load: Full Time and Part Time

How to apply To be considered for this scholarship, you need to apply through our Equity Scholarships Scheme.

Completing the application form You only need to submit one application form to be considered for all scholarships under the scheme. Make sure you follow the instructions to supply all relevant supporting documents by the closing date.

Eligibility

You must be one of:

  • an Australian citizen (including dual citizens)
  • a permanent resident of Australia
  • a permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • a New Zealand citizen.

You must also be:

  • a female
  • of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • from a low-income background
  • experiencing financial hardship
  • enrolled in or applying for an undergraduate course.
