Maev O'Collins Scholarship

Emeritus Professor Ellen Maev O’Collins established this endowed scholarship in 2015 to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking health sciences and social work studies – she greatly serviced the people of Papua New Guinea with her studies and work in her career.

- This scholarship is valued at $3,500, to be paid in one lump sum.
- There is one scholarship available.
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application: Evidence of financial hardship: most recent Tax Assessment Notice; or Centrelink Income Statement; or the most recent 60 days of bank transactions AND pay slips from the last 6 weeks
Evidence of academic merit from your most recent studies (applies to future students only) ATAR or equivalent; or academic transcript (including GPA)
Upload Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status.
This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria, by the scholarship application close date:
- Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students (Confirmation of Aboriginality will be required)
- Faculty: Health Sciences
- Campus: Canberra
- Study load: full-time enrolment
- Financial hardship
