This scholarship aims to support and encourage Indigenous Australian students to pursue an undergraduate study in a field of their choosing.

Value : $8,000 per annum for the duration of your degree and also $14,000 towards accommodation for one year only.

How to apply

  • VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) through VTAC between Monday 31 July (9am) and Friday 6 October (5pm) to be automatically considered.
  • For current Monash students, apply directly to Monash
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred.
Eligibility

You must be one of the following:

  • An Indigenous Australian

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing or current student, enrolled in or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • From one or more of Monash University's defined educational disadvantage categories.

**To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. This can be emailed to wci-study@monash.edu

To retain this scholarship: You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 each semester.
