Overview

Each year the School of Medicine and Psychology may offer an award known as the Jessica King Scholarship – with the aim of assisting an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student to undertake the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery program at ANU.

There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.

Eligibility

The Award is available each year to a prospective or current ANU student who:

  • is a domestic student; and
  • is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
  • identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
  • is accepted as such by the community in which they live, or formally lived; and
  • is a medical student enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (8950XMCHD) at the ANU.
