Hearing Australia Scholarship

This scholarship will recognise and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the Master of Audiology at Flinders. A one week remote Services Outreach trip in your second year with a value up to $3000 paid by Hearing Australia. This covers air travel, accommodation and living expenses.

Benefits The scholarship is valued at $15,000 over two years.

$12,000 stipend paid in instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients will be paid $2000 a semester in the first year of study and $4000 a semester in the second year of study.

A one week remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Services Outreach trip in Year 2 up to the value of $3000 paid by Hearing Australia for the purpose of accompanying Hearing Australian Audiologists. Trip includes air travel, accommodation and living expenses arranged by Hearing Australia at its discretion.

Application Information You are not required to submit a separate application for this scholarship. Once the program application closing date has passed, and all applications for admission have been reviewed and offers of admission made, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants will be considered for this scholarship.

Eligibility Applicants for the scholarship must:

• be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
• identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
• be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived; and
• be commencing a Master of Audiology at Flinders University in the year of the award; and
• normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University.
