Francis Xavier Conaci Scholarship
Aurora Education Foundation
Established in 2016 by ACU Vice Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven, this scholarship honours Francis Xavier Conaci, a young Aboriginal scholar who joined the Benedictines and travelled to Rome for his education. This scholarship will assist an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ACU undertake study at the University’s Rome campus.
Value This scholarship is valued at $4,000, to be paid in one lump sum. There are up to two scholarships available.

Application process Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
- A written statement of approximately 250 words outlining why attending this unit in Rome is important for your education.
- Upload Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status (for more information on this requirement, please visit COA)

This scholarship is open to current ACU student who meet all of the following criteria:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students;
- Course: any ACU undergraduate degree;
- Enrolled in any unit of study offered at the University’s Rome Campus during the Mid Semester period (June/July).
