Overview
The Deadly Education Costs Scholarship aims to improve higher education access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Areas of study: Any Area of Study At Institution: Federation University
Study level: Honours, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma Postgraduate coursework Undergraduate Study Load: Full Time Part Time Location: VIC
Scholarship Amount/Benefit: The student will receive $2,000 per semester, paid after each semester census date.
- Be active and enrolled post census date
- If payment is required before census date due to financial hardship, you will need to put this in your application to be considered, however If you withdraw from your studies, you may be requested to repay all or part of the scholarship.
Eligibility
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- provide either a Confirmation of Aboriginality or a statutory declaration
- provide evidence of low socio-economic status or financial hardship (Centrelink statement, payslips, etc.)
- enrolled in an enabling course (FAST program) undergraduate, Honours or postgraduate course at Federation University.
