The Amy Levai Aboriginal teaching scholarship – secondary supports Aboriginal senior secondary school students in South Australian government schools interested in a teaching career in public education.

Scholarship conditions and payments A total scholarship amount of $5000 will be paid – $2500 while at secondary school and $2500 on confirmation of acceptance into an Initial Teacher Education program the following year.
Monies received from scholarship payments can be used at the student’s discretion. Payments may be subject to tax and it is the student’s responsibility to seek independent and personal tax advice.
Feedback will be sought from scholarship recipients about how the scholarship has supported their studies.
Scholarship conditions include entering into a contractual agreement with the department.
Scholarships are subject to available funds.

- intend to enrol, as their first preference, in an initial teacher education program at an Australian university on completion of their final year of secondary education.
