Indigenous Undergraduate Entrance Bursary

The AU Indigenous Undergraduate Entrance Bursary is intended to encourage new students of Indigenous ancestry to apply to an AU undergraduate degree or certificate program and register in AU undergraduate courses. Students admitted within the previous 12 months are eligible to apply.

• Be admitted to an AU undergraduate degree or certificate program
• Be of Indigenous kinship as defined by the applicant’s Indigenous nation within the land known as Canada (See section E on Application form for details)
• Has not completed more than 9 AU credits at the undergraduate level
• Demonstrate financial need
• Must be a Canadian Citizen
• Students are eligible to receive this bursary one time only

Selection Criteria and Process

• Demonstrated financial need
• Evaluation of short essay response, maximum 500 words
• Selection committee will include representation from Nukshahtowin
