AU Doctoral Level Student Bursaries

The AU Doctoral Student Bursaries are intended to assist students with continuing with their education without interruption to their studies due to financial need or exceptional life circumstances. Current AU students in financial need and/or those AU students faced with exceptional life circumstances are invited to apply. Applicants must be enrolled in an AU doctoral program, must have completed a minimum of 3 AU credits at the doctoral level and must have an AU program GPA of 3.0 or higher. Additional circumstances such as disabilities, single parent/caregiver status, and so forth may be taken into consideration. Students may receive a maximum of 2 bursaries during their program of study.

An applicant must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this award:

• Be a current AU doctoral program student
• Have completed a minimum of 3 AU credits at the doctoral level
• Have an AU program GPA of 3.0 or higher Application Submission Deadline
• March 15th
• October 15th

Bursary Notification and Utilization:

Applicants selected to be recipients of the this bursary will be notified in writing by the University that a credit towards course enrolment has been placed on their student account.To use this credit, students must register in an AU Doctoral course no more than eight months from the time the bursary is credited, or forfeit the award. The credit on account is not convertible to cash, nor can it be processed as a refund for past course registrations. Questions?
