Gunilla Israel Asher Memorial
Aspen Community Foundation
The mission of The Gunilla Israel Asher Scholarship was established to carry forward the legacy of the beautiful, brave, valiant warrior and former Aspen Times Publisher, Gunilla Asher, who lost her fight with cancer after a lengthy and heroic battle. Gunilla was 42 years old. She left behind two small children, David and Charlie, and the love of her life, Mark. Gunilla loved all things Aspen. She was the life of every party and the goodness behind so many selfless acts. The scholarship is intended to assist an Aspen High School student, who has a demonstrated financial need, to attend the college of his or her choice.
