Purpose

The purpose of Leadership Scholarships is to support learners who exhibit leadership potential to access and succeed in tertiary study at Ara. This includes learners involved in activities at school, at a tertiary education institution, in the community, and/or in sport and cultural pursuits in which leadership has been demonstrated.

Eligibility

This scholarship is available to prospective and current Ara learners intending to enrol either full-time or part-time in any Level 3 and above programme of study offered by Ara.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• Meet the entry requirements for your chosen programme at the time of commencement of study
• Study a programme directly with Ara (programmes offered through partnerships and subcontracting arrangements are not eligible)
• This scholarship is available to NZ citizens, permanent residents and international learners. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact us.

Value

The scholarship value will be $4,000 per equivalent full-time student enrolment. This means a learner studying full-time will receive the full $4,000, while a learner studying part-time will receive a proportion of the $4,000 equal to the level of their part-time enrolment.
