South Asian Language Study Grants - Common Application
Yale University
The South Asian Studies Council is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of awards for qualified undergraduate, graduate and professional students for intensive language study at approved programs in South Asia, or in the United States.
The award may be used for transportation, tuition, room and board, and incidentals. Language study must be a clear relationship to the applicant's overall course of study. Preference is given first to students planning study for a full academic year, then term-time projects, and then summer studies. Successful applicants will be expected to submit a report on their experience upon return.
Application Information: A completed application includes:
- An online application
- A short proposal (no more than two pages)
- A copy of the application to the program where you will apply to study
- A letter of reference
- A language evaluation
- A brief budget
- Your latest transcript(s)
All materials must be submitted online prior to the deadline posted. Applications received late or submitted via e-mail or in person will NOT be accepted.
