James A. Helzer Travel Fund

The James A. Helzer Travel Fund is a grant for Silliman College affiliated students that gives financial support of up to $500 for in term academic pursuits, research or activities associated with Yale-affiliated academic clubs. Not available during summer semester.

Examples of these activities may include, but are not limited to:

• National/International Championships associated with registered Yale undergraduate “academic clubs” [e.g. Debate; Chess; Moot Court]
• Travel to academic conferences/meetings to present a paper or poster, or participate in a competition – must be validated by DUS or Dept. Chair
• Other similar activities which fit the general profile of travel for “academic or research” purposes [e.g. travel associated with a course you are taking for credit and a grade; or for a faculty supervised independent research project]

The fellowship is open to Silliman College undergraduates only and not available during the summer semester.
