Elderly Welfare Grants

West Dunbartonshire Council has agreed to provide residents aged 66 years and over with a Elderly Welfare payment of £15 in 2022.

Nomination forms should be completed for new applicants or to make amendments to previous applications.

Please note: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) consent forms need to be completed every three years. No payment will be made to applicants who have not returned completed GDPR consent forms.

• You must be 66 or over as of 1st December 2022 and reside within the West Dunbartonshire Council area.
• Each applicant can either receive an individual payment or can nominate a group to receive the payment. A list of groups can be found on the nomination form.
• Your nomination will stay valid provided you have updated your GDPR consent form.
• If you choose to receive the funding directly you MUST have a bank account which receives incoming funds. Post Office accounts cannot be accepted and cheques will not be issued.
• If you have chosen to receive the funding directly you are required to ensure WDC is kept informed of any changes to personal details – e.g. address, bank account information.
