Architectus Third Year Grant

Architectus is an industry leading architecture and design studio specialising in commercial, education, interiors, public, residential, transport, urban design, and planning. The firm has offices in five Australian capital cities and in Auckland (New Zealand).
The Architectus Third Year Grant will be available to full-time or part-time UniSA Bachelor of Architectural Studies students currently in third year, or in the last 36 units of study.
Applicants should have a strong academic record based on grades obtained in the first two years of the program and intend to progress to the Master of Architecture upon completion of the Bachelor program.
The Grant supports new talent in the architecture field and a paid work placement at Architectus is an important feature of the grant, extending its value by providing practical work experience and mentoring.
To be eligible for the grants, applicants must:
Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or similar visa for refugees.
Be in the third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies (DBAE) program, or on the last 36 units of their program load.
Intend to progress to the Master of Architecture upon completion of the Bachelor program
Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 5 or above.
Be a full-time or part-time student.
Be willing to undertake a paid work placement at a mutually negotiated time and duration(as agreed between the recipient and Architectus).Submit a written statement.
Provide a Curriculum Vitae.
Attend an interview.
Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500-750 words) detailing:
- Reasons for studying Architecture.- • Future career goals within the architecture industry and how the Grant and work opportunity would help achieve these goals.
- Academic achievements.
- Work experience, community involvement and/or extracurricular activities/interests.
- The name of any scholarships or grants currently held (or where an application is pending)
- Expression of interest to undertake a paid work placement at Architectus at a mutually agreed time and duration.
In addition, applicants must provide a Curriculum Vitae and full academic record or transcript of their undergraduate qualification.
Students may hold other scholarships or grants administered by UniSA; however, the recipient should not be in current receipt of a scholarship or grant sponsored by another architecture company.
The grant will be awarded based on academic achievement‚ content of the Curriculum Vitae and written statement, enthusiasm for the architecture industry, and performance at the interview.
If‚ in the view of the selection panel‚ no applicant is sufficiently meritorious‚ no award shall be made.
Recipients may be in receipt of another scholarship or grant administered by UniSA.
