Overview

This award, also known as the Ian Pavlinic Memorial Award, was created by Tulip in honour and remembrance of exemplary co-op student Ian Pavlinic. During his years at Guelph, Ian was an outstanding co-op student with a passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies. Ian always supported those around him and strived to use his talents to improve life. This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated innovation, and collaboration and has made a positive impact during their co-op work term. Employers will nominate students to recruit@uoguelph.ca using the online nomination forms. Included in the nomination package students must provide their resume, personal statement describing the impact they had on the company (maximum 2 pages), and optional portfolio. Selection will be based on: Job Achievement - Including Work Performance Evaluation (30 points), Academic Achievement based on cumulative average (15 points), Contribution to extracurricular activities at school and/or community (10 points), Contribution to Co-operative Education (15 points), Resume (10 points), Student’s personal statement (15 points), Evaluator assessment and recognition of nominee (5 points).

Eligibility

Students who have completed a B.Comp. co-op work term in the current calendar year (winter, summer, or fall semester).
