Bruce & Nora Stone Leadership Travel Grant

Established by Bruce Stone (OAC ’53) and Nora Stone (MAC’ 52 D). Bruce was a faculty member in the Bio-Sciences Department and OAC Associate Dean. He has been involved with the OAC Alumni Foundation for 30 years and is a strong supporter of student experiential learning opportunities. Nora was a full-time mother to their four children, and an active volunteer while pursuing her love of sports and travel. Their Alma Mater enabled them to succeed and return the favour. Apply online by using the OAC Travel Grant Application Form. Applicants will be asked to indicate reasons for travel, date(s) of travel, estimated costs including a breakdown and total, and the anticipated benefits of participating in the travel opportunity. Applicants will be asked to self-identify as Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), or racialized if applicable. Selection will be based on the relevance of intended travel and anticipated benefits of participation.

Students registered in a degree program offered by the Ontario Agricultural College who intend to participate in travel that is related to course study and who have demonstrated leadership within the College and/or community. Preference will be given to Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis), or racialized students.
