Social Inclusion
The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund
Our grant making programmes aim to support community projects, complement the work of The Prince of Wales’s core charities – The Prince’s Trust and The Prince’s Foundation - and promote His Royal Highness’s charitable interests.
Social Inclusion: Community and art projects that aim to relieve poverty, loneliness and other social issues or support the welfare of the elderly, veterans and interfaith cohesion. PWCF supported Streetwise Opera, a Nottingham-based initiative which provides weekly performing arts workshops to those who are at risk of homelessness. The Good Companions befriending scheme was awarded funds through the PWCF COVID-19 Recovery Fund, and helped vulnerable people through lockdown by delivering care packages and regular phone conversations.
We are particularly interested in projects in deprived communities across the four nations: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In addition, PWCF is keen to support organisations that are able to demonstrate that the project/activity would support a diverse community or group of beneficiaries. Applicants are encouraged to share their commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) by uploading a copy of their EDI policy their funding application.
We would consider small grant applications for projects which benefit diverse groups or communities in the United Kingdom, Commonwealth and Internationally. In order to maximize impact, we would also consider awarding multi-year small grants to UK registered non-profit organisations.
Major grant applications are by invitation only.
PWCF considers small grant applications from UK registered non-profit organisations supporting grassroots projects in diverse and deprived communities. The small grants programme awards single or multi-year grants to a maximum value of £5,000 and £15,000 respectively. The average single award is £1,500.
