Overview

The monetary awards are split into four categories: Cromar, Alastrean, Douneside and Lady MacRobert. Each one has its own specific governance arrangements and internal processes.

Lady MacRobert Award: Before submitting an application, please email alison@themacroberttrust.org.uk with a brief outline of the project you will be requesting funding for and the value.

*Lady MacRobert awards are those that are of a total monetary value over £50,001. *Applications for this type of award will be reviewed once each year in November. *Applications for the November Trustees’ Board meeting must be submitted by 31 May. *Applicants may be invited to present to the Board during the November meeting. *Applicants will be informed of the outcome on completion of the review process. *Applications can be made at any time and will be considered at the next review.

The MacRobert Trust has recently updated their Charitable Giving Themes. These Themes define the scope of the Trust’s charitable work: Theme 1: Armed Forces & Good Citizenship. Theme 2: Education & Professional Excellence. Theme 3: Local Community & Other MacRobert Interests . The MacRobert Directors reserve the right to make changes to the Themes at any time.

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from registered charities from across the United Kingdom. Organisations must be recognised as charitable by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), the Charity Commission for England and Wales or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
