he John Flock Bentilee Empowerment Fund

The John Flock Bentilee Empowerment Fund has been set up specifically for residents in Bentilee and will provide practical support to empower people in the small things in life that can really make a difference. This could be through community events, improving the environment, or purchasing a piece of equipment for use by local residents.

About Grants from the John Flock Bentilee Empowerment Fund Organisations may apply for up to £2,000. Individuals may apply for a grant of up to £400.

Decisions on the grants for organisations will be made on a case by case basis. Therefore, there is no set panel date and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. You can apply for a grant of up to £2,000 using our online application form, which can be accessed by clicking the button below. You can attach your supporting documents to the application.

Decisions on the Individual grants will be made on a case by case basis. Therefore, there is no set panel date and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

To apply, please contact your Housing Assistant at EPIC Housing as we will be unable to accept an application without a valid referral. Once we have received a valid referral, we will contact you to take your application details by either phone or email.

The John Flock Bentilee Empowerment fund meets the UN’s first, seventh and tenth SDG. These include: No Poverty, Affordable & Clean Energy and Reduced Inequalities. These are met through the fund’s mission to support local residents of communities in Bentilee & Ubberley Ward.

Geographic Reach We Will Fund:

We will support organisations based in, or working for the benefit of people in the following local authority areas in Stoke-on-Trent;

  • Bentilee
  • Ubberley Ward

Geographic Reach We Cannot Fund:

This fund cannot support organisations who are based in, or working in the following local authority areas;

  • Any area outside of Bentilee & Ubberley Ward in Stoke-on-Trent.

Beneficiaries We Can Support In order to qualify for a grant from this scheme your project must be supporting the following types of beneficiary;

• Residents of the Bentilee and Ubberley ward

Documents That Must Be Submitted With Your Application:

The following documents must be provided with your application form. If you fail to provide these documents your application will not be considered for funding. All documents should be submitted at the time of application.

  • Constitution or Governing Document
  • Accounts information for the last 12 months
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Safeguarding Policy
  • Bank Statement dated within the last three months

  • Constituted community groups
  • Constituted voluntary groups
  • Registered Charities
  • Social Enterprises

Any other voluntary or not for profit organisation
