Overview

The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation is an independent charity regulated by the Charity Commission and established in 1992 by St. James’s Place Wealth Management to reflect the philanthropic interests of the business and the wider St. James’s Place community.

Small Grants for capital items or revenue.

  • The Small Grants programme is to a maximum of £10,000 and is only available to organisations with an annual income of less than £1,000,000 (this restriction does not apply to special needs schools or mainstream schools with a special needs unit).
  • The Small Grants programme has a policy of not granting more than £10,000 in any two year period.

Since its formation in 1992, the Charitable Foundation has aimed to make a positive and lasting change to the lives of children and young people. Supporting young people is still our largest focus area, although today our work stretches across four main themes: *Supporting Children and Young People (aged up to 25 years)

  • Young people with physical or mental health difficulties or life threatening or degenerative conditions
  • Young people who are socially or economically disadvantaged *Supporting People with Cancer. *Supporting Hospices (all ages) – applications via Hospice UK. *Mental Health. Approximately 90% of the money raised goes to supporting UK charities, with the remaining 10% being allocated to charities overseas, particularly those helping children and young people to escape poverty, malnutrition and neglect. The Overseas grants programme is open via invitation only through the St. James’s Place Community.

We work with charities who support disadvantaged and disabled young people under the age of 25 in a number of areas, including: -Young people with physical or mental health difficulties or life threatening or degenerative conditions. -Young carers. -Young people who are socially or economically disadvantaged.

Our grants can help in a number of ways, including: -Grants for buying small capital items. -Support for staff working directly or hands on with beneficiaries. -Support for projects of direct benefit to beneficiaries.

There are no deadlines or closing dates. Small Grants are considered on receipt and in rotation.
