We are pleased to offer a new grant program to help nonprofits create an anti-racist organizational culture.
Anti-racism training grants support work with an external consultant with expertise in anti-racism training. When hiring a consultant, there are several factors to consider.
Proposals for anti-racism work should be comprehensive and include all levels of an organization (i.e., board, staff, volunteers). Please be realistic about what you can accomplish within your budget and timeline.
Funding limits are based on organizational size:
Because this type of work often extends beyond the workplace, applicants must agree to participate in monthly cohort discussions that are mandatory for the executive director; other senior staff members are welcome. These discussions will be facilitated by a local DEI expert and are intended to offer support and problem-solving to help keep projects progressing.
Grantees should plan to keep Foundation staff apprised of their progress. All grantees will be expected to submit a final report, describing the success of the project against its stated goals.
