Overview

What is Quartet Community Foundation? Quartet Community Foundation manages funding on behalf of individuals, companies, charitable trusts and statutory agencies. This enables us to make grants to charitable groups in the West of England. We have many grant programmes to which groups can apply, the Express Grant Programme is one.

What is the North Somerset Realising Potential Fund? The Fund has been set up by Quartet Community Foundation and North Somerset Partnership to support community-based organisation responding to the needs and aspirations of disadvantaged local people in North Somerset.

How much do we award? The maximum grant award size is £2000.

Eligibility

Who can apply? Grants will be made from the North Somerset Realising Potential Fund to support local charitable activity where a small amount of funding can make a big difference. Within this, grants will be made to support local voluntary and community groups and organisation in North Somerset that: -strengthen and improve the capacity of the community and voluntary sector in North Somerset; or -support community based organisations responding to the needs and aspirations of disadvantaged local people in North Somerset.

What we don’t fund • Individuals • General appeals • The direct replacement of statutory funding • Political groups or activities promoting political beliefs • Religious groups promoting religious beliefs • Animal welfare • Arts projects with no community or charitable element • Sports projects with no community or charitable element • Medical research, equipment or treatment • Projects that take place before an application can be processed • Activities that raise funds for other organisations
