2% Tuition Fee Discount

At Newcastle University we have a range of scholarships and discounts for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

2% Early Payment Discount Get a 2% discount off your annual tuition fees by paying them up front and in full. For example:

annual course tuition fee: £12,000 2% tuition fee discount: £240 tuition fee you pay: £11,760 This is the only discount managed by the tuition fees team.

You should always deduct the 2% discount before you make payment.

The discount applies to the proportion of fees you are personally responsible for. If you are part sponsored, you will receive the discount on the fees that you pay. Your sponsor will not receive the discount. For example:

annual course tuition fee: £12,000 part sponsor pays half the fee: £6,000 tuition fee discount applied to your proportion of the fees: £120 annual tuition fee you pay: £5,880

You will not be eligible for the 2% discount if your tuition fees are being paid for in full by a tuition fee loan.

How to apply

If the University receives your payment by the end of the Registration week (or you can prove you initiated your payment before the end of the Registration week) then the 2% discount will be honoured.

You'll be eligible if you are:

• an international fee paying student or a home fee paying postgraduate student and you pay your annual tuition fees in full before the end of registration week
• a home fee paying undergraduate, Intercalating Medic, PGCE or MArch student and you pay your annual tuition fees in full before your November instalment deadline
