Help Musicians
Support is available to help you through crisis, retirement or illness
We support musicians in the short term who suddenly find themselves in a moment of crisis, as well as musicians of retirement age, and those whose health issues impact their financial situation.
Life as a professional musician can be tough — when things go wrong, worries can quickly mount up.
Added to this, the insecure pattern of work and financial rewards can leave many unable to save for their retirement, or even predict when that will be.
From help with the costs of physiotherapy to financial support when things get tough, we can help. Please get in touch today to discuss how we can support you.
We can help you if you are one or more of the following:
- A working professional* musician (including performers and composers)
- Retired and your principal career was in music
- A music therapist, sound engineer, luthier or piano tuner
- In some circumstances we can help if you are a dependant or partner of a musician
As well as being in one of the categories above, you will need to:
- Show us you are in financial need (see below)
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
We are not able to offer help to amateur musicians or people whose paid musical work is secondary to another career.
- a working professional musician is someone who earns 50% or more of their income as a musician
