Community Energy Warwickshire Fund

The Community Energy Warwickshire (CEW) Fund is a grant programme for Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull enabling voluntary and community groups to apply for funding for:
- Insulation and other energy efficiency improvements to community buildings, including the use of low embodied-carbon building materials which both minimise energy use and CO2 release
- Training in ways to improve energy efficiency through technical improvements to building fabric or energy use advice to building users
- Running events, workshops or surgeries where people can get advice on ways to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy use
- Provision of one-to-one support to help vulnerable people to live in warm, energy-efficient homes
- Finally, CEW is keen to embrace and encourage any efforts by communities to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and practices and invite applications for funding from any groups which aim to foster these ideals.
The fund aims to:
• Support the development and installation of renewable energy projects • Encourage the sustainable use of energy and reductions in carbon emissions • Promote public awareness of environmental issues and support educational initiatives • Encourage the implementation of sustainable initiatives to community buildings
You can apply to this fund if you are one of the following:
• Registered charities • Constituted Community groups • Companies Limited by Guarantee with charitable aims • Community Interest Companies • Co-operatives - registered Community Benefit Societies and registered Industrial and Provident Societies • Social Enterprises **Funding to Community Interest Companies and other non-charities may include conditions to restrict funding to charitable objectives only. • Additionally, your organisation/company income level must be equal to or less than £250,000, as shown in your most recent annual accounts
