Overview

The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant making Trust that supports great charities of all sizes across the UK. From small community groups, to large national institutions, the Foundation's aim is to support organisations that have effective solutions to helping those most in need.

Major Grants ■ grants of £100,000 and over for organisations or projects with costs or turnover over £1 million ■ bespoke guidance given by Foundation ■ for more information on the application process, see page 11 Major Grants: For application of £100,000 or more. These are reviewed at one of the Foundation’s eight Board meetings a year and are carefully planned in advance to be fair to all applicants. If you are considering applying for a major grant, please start by sending a one page summary to our Grants Officer, Ciara Molloy via cmolloy@garfieldweston.org outlining what you are raising funds for, the total cost and fundraising target. We can give you bespoke guidance on whether you are eligible. Please note that if you are applying for £100,000 or more we typically expect your project and/or annual income to be in excess of £1 million. Please do not apply for a major grant through our website.

The Foundation aims to be responsive to where need is greatest and therefore supports a wide range of charitable activity in the following categories: -Arts -Education -Youth -Health -Museums & Heritage -Community -Environment -Faith -Welfare

We have no deadlines and accept applications all year round. Applying to the Foundation is easy and straightforward.
