Intercountry Lectureship Program

The Intercountry Lectureship Program enables German universities, technical colleges and other comparable institutions to invite American Fulbright professors from the current program year to give guest lectures. There are two target groups:

• American Fulbright professors who are currently in Germany and
• American professors who are in another European country on a Fulbright grant.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS The funding for this program is limited, so that Fulbright Germany generally welcomes it if the inviting host university takes over part of the costs, e.g. B. Fee, accommodation costs, meals, etc.

Fulbright funding opportunities exist for:

• Single Talks: You may invite one Fulbright grantee from the lists above to give a single guest talk. In this case, Fulbright Germany will cover the travel costs if the inviting university cannot cover them itself. If scholarship holders are invited from outside Germany, we ask you to check whether it is possible that invited scholarship holders can also be placed at other universities for additional lectures due to better effectiveness and cost-efficiency; the additional travel costs within Germany can then also be covered by us.

• Ring lectures (Fulbright Lecture Series): Within the limited funds, we can also consider applications for so-called "Fulbright Lecture Series". It is envisaged that several Fulbright scholarship holders will give individual lectures on an overarching topic one after the other (e.g. fixed date every week). We ask that you contact us in advance to clarify the possibilities of such events.

Special instructions:

• The approval of the applications is subject to the proviso that sufficient program funds are available.
• Applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the planned event.
