Computers and tablets

Devices, such as computers and tablets, can have a huge impact on disabled children and their families.

We work with Stone to provide our computers and tablets grant and can consider helping with computers, laptops, iPads and a variety of different tablets. These awards can only be provided through this supplier and we cannot consider a cash alternative.

How to use your grant

Your award must be used three months from the date on your award letter.

Your award letter will include your unique seven-digit reference number that will allow you to complete your order online. You can use the portal to browse the different models available. If the item you would like is not showing on the portal please call Stone on 0800 731 1784.

Order by phone - You can also order over the phone on 0800 731 1784. Please have your Family Fund award letter to hand. Or simply wait for Stone to call you. Stone will call you within seven working days to discuss your requirements.

Warranty

Your desktop or laptop is supplied with a three-year warranty and insurance covering; technical faults, accidental damage and theft.

The tablet will be supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty, which may not cover accidental damage and theft so you might want to consider purchasing additional cover.

All documents will be included when you receive your computer or tablet, or preloaded onto the device. Please read these carefully and keep for future reference.

With all warranties it is important to note that deliberate damage or damage caused by general wear and tear will not be covered under the terms of the warranty. Family Fund will not be able to help with the costs of repairs that fall outside the terms of warranty, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Family Fund does not pay for warranties, however the manufacturer provides a 1 year warranty for the tablet provided.
