Family Fund
We work with Park to provide clothing grants if a child or young person has additional clothing needs, for example, if they go through clothes quickly, or their clothing is frequently damaged.
Your grant can be used in the following stores (cards cannot be used online): TJ Hughes, Matalan, River Island, Schuh, Schuh Kids, Wallis, Debenhams, TK Maxx, Shoezone, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Marks & Spencer, Foot Locker, New Look, Peacocks, Blacks, Millets and Original Factory Shop. How to use your clothing grant
Your Park card will be sent to you separately from your grant award letter and only the main carer may use the card. You must activate your card before use. Call the activation service on 0344 7709 015 (please make sure you have your activation code number before you call)this service is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
-Select option one on your telephone keypad as the card user, and then option one again to activate the card.
Enter the 19 digit card number, this can be found on the front of your Park card.
Enter your activation code; this is the four digit number you will find in the ‘award method’ section on your award letter. This is not your Family Fund number. Lost your letter please give us a call on 01904 550055.
You can only use the card in a store. If the total bill is more than the amount on your card you must pay the difference before your card is swiped. You must only use the card to buy clothing for your child. You can buy clothing items when you need them, the whole amount does not have to be spent in one transaction. However, the total amount of the grant must be used within six months of the date of your grant award letter. Please keep all your receipts for 12 months from the date you purchased your items as we may write and ask you for them.

We help families across the UK who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person aged 17 or under. You can apply to Family Fund if:
- You live in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales (Please note: If you are a family living in Wales, please visit our Wales application pages to apply.)
- You are the parent or carer of a disabled or seriously ill child or young person aged 0-17 who lives with you
- You are currently living in the UK and done so for at least six months, or three months if your child is less than six months old.
- You are eligible to work and apply for public funds
- Your child is not in Local Authority care
- You need to also have evidence of entitlement to any one of the following:*
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
- Income Related Employment Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit. Your child or young person has a high level of additional support needs arising from a long term disability or disabling condition or a serious or life limiting illness. By long term we mean lasting or likely to last 12 months or more.
