ANNUAL YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR PRIZE
East Lothian Investments
To encourage entrepreneurship in young people in the county, East Lothian Investments Ltd have launched an Annual Young Entrepreneur Prize. The successful applicant will receive a cash prize of £1,500 to contribute towards their business.
Am I eligible? You are eligible if:
- You are aged 16 to 25 between the dates of 1st January to the 31st December 2023
- The business head office and main base of operations is in East Lothian
- You have been trading for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 3 years

What do I need to apply?
In order to apply you will need to complete and submit an application form along with with the following supporting documents:
- A business plan and cashflow - templates can be provided if requested
- End of year accounts (if business has been trading for longer than 1 year)
- CV for each director / owner / partner
- Proof of photo identification and age such as a passport, driving licence or similar
- Last 3 months bank statements
What next?
If you think you are eligible to apply, please download and complete an application form. You must then submit your completed application form with supporting documents electronically to elinvestments@eastlothian.gov.uk.

The deadline for applications will be midday on 1st November 2023 with the winner of the prize being announced in December 2023.
