Overview

Miller Wood Bonsall Student Bursary is exclusive to students studying two or more STEM subjects at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington.

The Miller Wood Bonsall Fund offers bursaries of up to £500 per academic year to students who are:

  • Studying two or more STEM* subjects at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington
  • Participating in the Queen Elizabeth Future Engineers Scheme and applying for this funding to support with studies.
  • Intending to follow a career in Engineering and/or intending to study Engineering, or a related discipline, at university STEM* – Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Size of Bursary: Students can apply for a maximum Bursary of up to £500 per academic year. You can only apply for 1 year at a time.

What type of funding can you apply for? Funding can be used to support any barrier that would prevent or deter students from studying. Funding can used to cover:

  • Competitions
  • Industry Visits
  • Specialist Equipment
  • Subject Specific Trips
  • Summer Schools
  • Travel Specific to Future Engineers Activities
  • University Trips

Note: Note: Meirion Baker at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College Darlington will need to complete part of the online application form to confirm that you are enrolled at the college and eligible for funding

Grant Award Date: up to 12 weeks from submission of application.
