Overview

City's undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. If you're applying to study on one of them, you may also be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is committed to developing, inspiring and encouraging engineers at every stage in their career, with practical, financial help. Each year, the Institution supports the educational and development needs of students, graduates and members with grants totalling around £800,000 every year.

Available scholarships Each scholarship is worth a maximum of £8,000, comprising of £2,000 per year for up to four years (excluding industrial placements). The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to continued performance.

Eaton Undergraduate Scholarship As part of the Eaton Undergraduate Scholarship, a placement with Eaton may be offered to the successful award holder along with the financial award.

The candidate for such a placement will be chosen by a panel from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the placement will be offered during the period of the scholarship being awarded.

Land Rover Spen King Sustainability Award The successful candidate chosen by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers for the Land Rover Spen King Sustainability Award will be offered a placement with Jaguar Land Rover. If you are selected to receive this award, you will discuss the details of this placement directly with the company.
