National Asian Language Tobacco Quitline
Centers for Disease Control - NCCDPHP
CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health will provide continued support for a national Asian language quitline to provide evidence-based cessation counseling, nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), and in-language materials for individuals who use tobacco and who predominantly speak Chinese (including Cantonese and Manadarin), Korean, and Vietnamese (CKV) languages. This Notice of Funding Opportunity will fund one organization to operate and promote a linguistically and culturally appropriate national Asian language quitline. This quitline will complement the national portals 1-800-QUIT-NOW (transfers English-speaking callers to English-language services available through their state quitlines) and 1-855-DEJELO-YA (transfers Spanish-speaking callers to Spanish-language services available through their state quitlines).
The award ceiling for this NOFO is $900,000. CDC will consider any application requesting an award higher than this amount as non-responsive and it will receive no further review.
