Lorene J. Harris Scholarship

The Lorene Harris Scholarship is awarded to a currently enrolled/continuing junior or senior student with a declared major in Wildlife at HSU. Newly admitted students, both freshmen and transfers, will not be considered and should not apply for this scholarship. Preference is given to students who demonstrate professional promise, are active in extracurricular activities, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Amounts and numbers of scholarships are estimates, dependent on funding.

Award $1,500.00

• Please provide a resume demonstrating extracurricular activities and professional promise in the discipline.
• Please provide a letter of application introducing yourself and highlighting why you are a suitable candidate for a scholarship.
• Please submit a one-page, single-spaced essay addressing your personal conservation ethic and view of the future of wildlife management.
• Please provide the name and email address, not from HSU Wildlife faculty, who will provide letter of reference. Make sure to contact this person and let them know which scholarship you are applying for before making this request.
