Overview

This programme invests in innovations to improve the lives of people in the UK who are affected by dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society Accelerator Programme is open to engineers, designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs with an idea for a product or service that will change the lives of people affected by dementia.

The idea could be a simple product that makes an everyday task easier for a person living with dementia. For example, applicants may have an innovative idea for a new service or way of working for care home staff.

The programme offers a year-long partnership including:

  • Investment up to a value of £100,000.
  • An expert innovation buddy from Alzheimer’s Society to develop their idea during a twelve-month partnership.
  • An opportunity to test a product or service with people affected by dementia.
Eligibility

Applications are sought from teams or individuals at any stage of the product development journey, from an idea that needs testing through to proven products that require support to maximise their reach.

Engineers, designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs in the UK will qualify.

Applications are made online.
