WHAT IS AWARDED?
The Nevins Fellowship will be a $20,000 Fellowship paid over two years. The Fellow will receive $10,000 at the end of each of two years of full-time academic teaching experience. It is intended to supplement the fellow’s income and not intended to replace any salary or stipend to which the Fellow would otherwise be entitled
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Full-time periodontal educators who have been teaching at least one, and not more than five, full-time academic years at U.S. programs are eligible to apply. Applicants must be board-certified in periodontology. A selection committee will select four finalists from the applications which are received. The finalists must then attend mandatory personal interviews which will take place at the AAP Annual Meeting. A travel stipend will be provided, however, transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the finalist.
